According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Juventus are pushing ahead with plans to terminate Sami Khedira’s contract.

The belief is that this will become official in the coming weeks as the 33-year-old prepares to move on to something new. Khedira has been with Juve since back in 2015 but after five years, it finally appears as if his time in Italy has come to an end.

Juventus have one major mission outside of Serie A and that is to claim the title of European champions. Southampton manager Russell Martin admitted he took no joy in thrashing old club Swansea 5-0.

Martin took charge of the Swans for two seasons before leaving to join Saints last summer – where he has now overseen a 16-match unbeaten run and seen his side close in on the Championship automatic-promotion places.
