According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Juventus are pushing ahead with plans to terminate Sami Khedira’s contract.
The belief is that this will become official in the coming weeks as the 33-year-old prepares to move on to something new. Khedira has been with Juve since back in 2015 but after five years, it finally appears as if his time in Italy has come to an end.
Juventus have one major mission outside of Serie A and that is to claim the title of European champions. They ve come close over the course of the last few years but haven t quite been able to get over the finish line, and while Khedira s exit may not be the answer to their problems, it appears as if they re starting to try and find the right balance in their squad.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang s slow start to the 2020-21 Premier League season has provided Arsenal with cause for concern, but their attacking problems run deeper.
There was plenty of positivity when Arsenal began their campaign with a 3-0 win over newly promoted Fulham and Aubameyang signed a new three-year contract at Emirates Stadium the following week.
However, since then the 31-year-old attacker has gone five league games without scoring, for the first time since November 2014 when he played for Borussia Dortmund, and the Gunners have been defeated three times.
Those losses came against teams that finished last season in the top five – Liverpool, Manchester City and Leicester City – and on Sunday they face another team from that group in the form of Man…

Paris Saint-Germain will travel to the Fontvieille district of Monaco, where they will play AS Monaco at the Stade Louis II on Wednesday evening in a game that was postponed from December 1st, and will now be the 20th of the Ligue 1 season for both sides. It just so happens that these two teams met only three days earlier, on Sunday, at the Parc des Princes, and split the points by drawing 3-3.

It rarely pays of to reappoint former managers in football, however successful they might have been during their previous tenure. It seems Monaco had to learn that the hard way after they brought back Leonardo Jardim last January, the man who created and led the team which won the Ligue 1 title in 2017, so far the only time Paris Sain…
Harry Kane wants to break Wayne Rooney s England record as quickly as possible at the World Cup, though will not panic if he has to wait.
England start their campaign in Qatar against Iran on Monday, with Kane sitting on 51 goals for the Three Lions.
The Tottenham forward trails Rooney by just two, and having won the Golden Boot at the 2018 World Cup, Kane looks well-placed to become the record holder.
With England favourites to progress from Group B, which also includes the United States and Wales, Kane hopes to break the record swiftly, yet it is far from his priority.
Hopefully as soon as possible, for sure, but again I spoke before the tournament, I know it s there, I know people talk about it, but I like to focus on my game, do the best for the team…
Pal Dardai had no doubts about stepping back up to coach Hertha Berlin again following his appointment on a deal that runs until the end of the 2021-22 season.
Having played for the club between 1997 and 2012, the former Hungary international was head coach from 2015 through to 2019.
Since then, Ante Covic, Jurgen Klinsmann and, most recently, Bruno Labbadia have been in charge, the latter fired along with sports director Michael Preetz following Saturday s 4-1 home loss to Werder Bremen that left Hertha down in 14th position in the Bundesliga table.
The club have moved quickly to find a replacement, returning to a familiar face by promoting Dardai, who had been working in the academy.
It certainly wasn t my plan to move from the un…

In a Europa League showdown that could see a string of chances on Thursday night, Spanish outfit Villarreal will make the trip to Salzburg s Red Bull Arena in midweek.
Starting with the hosts, eventually cruising their way to a 4-2 romp away at Swarovski Tirol last weekend, Salzburg have only continued on what has been a free-scoring purple patch. Really finding their feet after returning from the festive break last month, the Austrian giants are once again tipped as a standout contender to reclaim their Bundesliga crown. Winning each of their last six domestic matchups across all formats, Head Coach Jesse Marsch will be boosted by his side s remarkable form in front of goal. Bagging themselves a quartet of strikes on their t…
Southampton manager Russell Martin admitted he took no joy in thrashing old club Swansea 5-0.
Martin took charge of the Swans for two seasons before leaving to join Saints last summer – where he has now overseen a 16-match unbeaten run and seen his side close in on the Championship automatic-promotion places.
The former MK Dons boss, who was making his first reunion with the Swans, did a lap of honour after the match and was applauded by both sets of fans.
“I don’t take any more joy out of beating them,” said Martin.
“That reception from the Swansea fans made me really emotional, it was really incredible and I hope the Southampton fans understand why I applaud them.
“I love some of their players on the pitch. My feeling towards the peo…
Erik ten Hag provided a blunt reply when asked when Jadon Sancho will return for Manchester United but insisted Aaron Wan-Bissaka has a future at the club.
Sancho last featured for United on October 22 in a 1-1 draw against Chelsea and was omitted from England s World Cup squad.
The winger did not travel with the squad for a warm-weather training camp in Spain during the domestic break for Qatar 2022 either, having instead been placed on an individual programme to work on his fitness.
United were back in action on Wednesday in a 2-0 triumph over Burnley in the EFL Cup and manager Ten Hag was asked if he knew when Sancho would be available for selection by Sky Sports, to which he merely replied: No.
Pressed on if there was a timeline for the former Boruss…
If you gathered together all the footballers over the past decade with a career equal or superior to that of Angel Di Maria, social distancing would be no problem at all. There really are not that many.
And yet, his has always felt like the role of sideman rather than superstar, be it accompanying Cristiano Ronaldo at club level or supplying Lionel Messi for Argentina.
If Paris Saint-Germain do leave Lisbon with the big prize this weekend, the manner in which Neymar and Kylian Mbappe swaggered during the 3-0 semi-final dismissal of RB Leipzig means it is easy to imagine them stamping their names all over a landmark triumph for the Ligue 1 champions.
In many respects it would continue the story of Di Maria s career – always hanging with the in-crowd, but never…
The centre-back has strong family ties to non-league Sholing and wore one of their shirts as he cheered on uncles Byron and Dan Mason in May’s Southern League Division One South play-off final.
Colwill was one of the first in the dressing room to celebrate the 2-0 win against Hamworthy United and promotion on a day that started with him laughing off some pre-match ribbing from opposing fans.
“He had one of our shirts on and they were basically saying, ‘he’s rubbish, he couldn’t make the squad’,” Byron Mason told PA with a hearty laugh. “Little did they know!
“But he’s so chilled, he would never turn around and say ‘I’m a Prem footballer’ or anything like that. He’s not about that. He just laughed and took it.”
